PASARS-16 is a hybrid short-range anti-aircraft self-propelled artillery-missile system. It is intended for the protection of land units, primarily for the protection of armored-mechanized and artillery-missile units, and for impact on aircraft at low altitudes.
The system is located on the armored chassis FAP 2026BS/AV with 6×6 drive. The armored turret is located on the rear of the armored vehicle. It has an integrated 40mm Bofors gun and two short-range RLN-IC missiles with infrared homing. The system is easily deployed both in primary use on air targets and on ground targets.
